THE current debate around pill testing for drug users is just another thought bubble from those deflecting responsibility. We see it all the time these days. Little Johnny (or Jill) causes trouble at school and teachers are blamed. Why not the parents for not teaching respect and responsibility?

There are multiple other instances where blame is always transferred from self, to others. If a drug user swallows a pill isn’t it their own responsibility in regards consequences and serious outcomes? Pill testing will encourage drug use, as well as the suppliers of illicit drugs. We should have far higher penalties applied to illicit drug suppliers, as well as for those caught using same.

Preventive measures should also be extended through education and enhanced through the media.
