Win just right and Proper

- By DOUG BOOTH

GREYHOUND fans saw Darwin’s best chaser, Just Proper, at his supreme best at Winnellie Park on Friday.

Just Proper blitzed his rivals in race three, the Water Dynamics Dash, controlling this event early on and coming away to score by four-anda-half lengths.

Junior Sanchez was second, with Happy Jordan placing third.

At present Just Proper is unstoppable, especially in small fields where he can be a bit slow out yet recover to score easily.

It was Son Of Joy’s third straight win for boom young trainer Jamie Hosking who has his team firing at present.

Honest Halle Blue defied all challenges in taking out Friday night’s distance event, the race five Holdfast Insurance Brokers’ Sprint over 537m.

Halle Blue beat a wellsupported Oliver’s Guess with Ready To Swoop third.

Take nothing away from Halle Blue who did it tough to overhaul the early leaders.

Ron Phillips will finish the season second in the trainers’ title, a fine effort considering he only has a small team these days with no top-line performer in his kennel.

Warren Twaddle finished the night with a double when Roger’s Guess upset the favourites to win the last.

He beat Dilston Nugget with short price elect Rumble Style flopping in third spot.

Beginning well from box one the son of High Earner looked in trouble when Rumble Style cruised up, but the favourite found nothing and the Roger found plenty.
