Women pick phone over sex

NEARLY half of US women would rather go a month with no sex than a month without their smartphone.

Given a choice, for 48 per cent of women aged over 30, their iPhone or Android device is more important to them than intimacy.

One in 20 sleeps with the device in the bed. About 69 per cent sleep with it in the bedroom, and 39 per cent check it in the bathroom, a Huffington Post poll found.

It also revealed that 76 per cent look at their phone every hour, and half of those could not go 15 minutes without checking it. Some even bought a waterproof case to check it in the shower.

Yet just 27 per cent say they are addicted.
