DOUBLES ace Casey Dellacqua is one win away from securing a singles berth at next month’s Australian Open after charging into the wildcard play- off final at Melbourne Park.

Dellacqua, who reached three grand slam doubles finals with fellow Australian Ashleigh Barty in 2013, defeated eighth seed Tammi Patterson 7-5 6-3 in yesterday’s semi-finals.

The top- seeded Dellacqua will face Arina Rodionova in today’s final. The men’s wildcard playoff final between Jordan Thompson and Ben Mitchell is also today.
