SECOND-time parents Charlene and David Gruar now have a comparison few other parents around the world would have. They welcomed their first child, three-year-old Blaire, in the Middle East, and their second, Alison Joy Gruar, in Darwin. ‘‘It’s very different over there,’’ Charlene said. ‘‘They only have doctors and nurses over there, and here they have midwives — it makes the whole situation very different.’’ Dad David said he hoped to get Alison into swimming, which Blaire already loves. Blaire’s and Alison’s birthdays are just days apart. Alison is an 11-12-13 baby, while Blaire was born on December 15. Alison was born just a tick over midday at 12.03pm. She weighed 3.72kg and measured 49.5cm.
