SIBLING stars Alex and Annette Edmondson have won the Australian omnium championships, with Annette overcoming surgery to take out her third women’s title. Alex won the men’s elite title in the multi-discipline track event for the first time in Melbourne and Annette successfully defended her championship, less than a month after sinus surgery. The South Australian pair rode at the London Olympics, where Annette won bronze in the omnium. WA’s Isabella King shared the lead after four events, but Annette won the last two to secure the crown again.
