PALMERSTON

-

Position: Win/Loss:

7th 3-7 (12pts) The Magpies have shown the world of potential in the early rounds under new coach Dean Rioli, whose youth policy is starting to pay huge dividends. Palmerston lost their first eight games in a row but have since won three of their past four against Central Australia (27 points), Southern Districts (35) and Waratahs (39). Lochlan Dhurrkay’s form on the wing, Aaron Lonergan and Jack Shannahan in the midfield and the efforts of talls Cameron Cloke and Matthew Dennis are the beginnings of a Palmerston side on the rise. The club faces big clashes against Nightcliff and St Marys in the next two rounds.
