We can’t believe the Dry is here!

-

WELL, we now know what hell feels like. We’ve just lived through 182 days of it.

182 days of feeling little droplets of sweat rolling down your spine, and hoping the back of your shirt isn’t totally soaked and disgusting.

182 days of reapplying your deodorant multiple times during the day. Just in case.

And 182 days of general whinging and wishing, hoping the dry season gets here soon. But guess what? It’s here! It’s finally the Dry! The time of year when having a barbecue outside with mates is actually pleasant.

The time of year when Mitchell St really comes alive with everyone from high class hotel dwellers to backpackers.

The time of year when there’s a chance you could go outside for a run, and actually earn your sweat.

There are plenty of things to look forward to in the coming months, from the Darwin Cup to the Beer Can Regatta, the Darwin Festival to BASSINTHEGRASS.

So turn off your airconditioners, open a window, and get outside because it’s the right time of the year to do it.

There’s only 184 days left.
