Fugitive denied bail in court case

ALLEGED fugitive Ron Kelly was denied bail in the Supreme Court on Friday.

Kelly has been in jail since he was arrested in a high-profile siege almost a year ago. He is facing a string of charges. Justice Graham Hiley rejected Kelly’s bail application, but said he was disappointed by how long it has taken for the matter to progress. Justice Hiley noted that Kelly had breached bail conditions in the past. Justice Hiley gave police two weeks to produce documents that had been requested by Kelly’s defence team.
