Lawson to play Hoges
JOSH Lawson has returned from the US to take on the role of a lifetime — that of his comic hero Paul Hogan.
The Brisbane-born actor, who co-stars in US comedy House Of Lies, was hand-picked to lead the cast in the upcoming Channel Seven miniseries based on the Aussie icon’s life.
And he says it’s a responsibil- ity that he doesn’t take lightly.
“He’s a man who means a lot to a lot of Australians, but he means a lot to me,” said Lawson, 34.
Lawson is joined by an allstar cast including Justine Clark as first wife Noelene Hogan and Ryan Corr as Hoges’ best mate and sidekick, John “Strop” Cornell.
