BEER
Beer was so popular in Egypt that it had its own goddess: Tjenenet. Young, old, rich and poor – beer was central to the diet of most ancient Egyptians. It’s thought that their beer was thick and nutritious, with the poor surviving on a beer and bread diet.
While our amber ale is more associated with overindulgence, you can cite a couple of health benefits when you grab ( just one) coldie a day. A 2016 review of evidence-based research found that low-to-moderate beer consumption “reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease” and “is associated with a reduced risk of developing neurodegenerative disease”.
