BIANCA BENNETT, 26 TIM RULE, 35

Bianca’s baking is what first caught Tim’s attention. The pair worked together at Big W and Bianca would bring in homemade cupcakes a couple of times a week, much to Tim’s delight. “Eventually our friendship blossomed into love,” Bianca said. Despite being a tricky one to surprise, Bianca was blown away when Tim proposed. “I’m very hard to keep surprises from, so it took Tim a few weeks to work out how he could do it,” Bianca said. “But on our daughters first birthday, we went to the beach in Cullen Bay and Tim got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. “He definitely surprised me.” The couple’s highlight of the Valentine’s Day wedding was the Sand Ceremony with their two families. “We joined our two families together and had both our kids involved,” Bianca said. “We all had a colour each that we took turns pouring into a jar to symbolise the uniting of the children and the bride and groom into one. “Just as theses grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage and your family be.” Family and friends travelled from all over the country to watch the pair share their love and join in the fun. “It was very windy at the ceremony and after our vows and signing of the documents everyone was taking photos but my veil kept blowing in my face, so Tim being my very helpful husband tried to hold it in place and managed to rip it right off my head,” Bianca said. “Everyone was in hysterics and it was all caught on camera.” The couple’s first dance as man and wife was to

My Best Friend by Tim McGraw. “I can’t dance to save my life, which made it more fun because we basically swayed back and forth laughing with each other, trying not to trip over my dress.” The newly-joined family will all be heading to Bali in January for a familymoon.
