MIMI MACPHERSON TO HIT TOP END AIRWAVES
ELLE Macpherson’s younger sister, Mimi is set to take over Darwin’s airwaves.
She will take up a guest presenter role with Mix 104.9FM from tomorrow and will hit the afternoon slot with Dave Daly.
It is not known how long she will fill the position.
While the blonde beauty isn’t shy of living in the limelight it has been more than five years since she was last pre- senting on the radio. “I’m sure I’ll have a lot of fun and it’s a great experience,” she said.
This will be Mimi’s first visit to the Top End and she’s excited to see the outdoors and get up close to a croc.
“I’m hoping to meet some great people and just have lots of fun,” she said.
“I’ve heard that it’s incredibly beautiful up there so I’m really looking forward to seeing the scenery,” she said.
As for the NT News, she said she had heard great things and couldn’t wait to see a wacky front page.
“I know there’s lots of stories about crocodiles,” Mimi said.
Mimi is also an environmentalist having been a spokeswoman for various charities and a Discovery Channel presenter.
