Nightcliff caters for whole range of tastes

-

SET under shady trees around the Nightcliff Village Shopping Centre, the Nightcliff Markets opens every Sunday morning from 8am to 2pm.

There is a range of fresh tropical fruits and vegetables, seafood, garden plants, herbs, fruit trees, orchids, books and Aboriginal art available, as well as phone repair and accessories.

In the centre of the markets you will find freshly prepared Asian food such as sushi, curries, laksas, soups, satays and samosas, which are complemented by the best crepes you’ve ever tasted, tropical fruit juices and salads, shaved ice, freshly baked breads and pies and gourmet coffees.

For those wanting table service, The Groove Café offers fresh, traditional breakfasts and lunch in an outdoor, tree-shaded setting, while Bruce’s Charcoal Chicken serves mouth-watering chicken and Asian cuisine.

Nightcliff Fish & Chips offers delicious foods in an airconditioned cafe.

There is also a wellstocked, locally-owned supermarket, two barbers, Savvas shoe shop and an Indian clothing shop in the shopping centre and fresh seafood.

The Lucky Bat Café is near the library.

With the appearance of the dry season, the humidity and clouds will soon be replaced with cool sea breezes and blue skies creating the perfect setting for a relaxing Sunday outing.

Children can enjoy the playground while you chill with a coffee or slurp your smoothie and relax to the musicians serenading nearby.

If you wander around exploring you will find a unique array of arts, clothing, shoes, jewellery, crystals, soaps and cosmetics, along with handicrafts, bric-a-brac, tarot, professional massage and reiki — the choices are amazing.

To complete the experience, entertainment is provided by musicians, face painters, clowns or belly dancers and there is a children’s playground near shaded tables and chairs.
