TEA FOR TWO

Take some time to bond with mum

- EMMA CRILLY

What could be better than a Mother And Daughter (MAD) tea party this Mother’s Day? As the time to shower your mum with love approaches, so does an opportunity to spend some quality time with her in Darwin.

In this modern age we forget to take the time to spend it with the people we love. So leave your mobile at home and enjoy a day filled with making memories.

Welkin Life (Jodie Dixon) and Little Miss Flowers (Jules Calvert) have collaborated to create a magical event to help mums and daughters bond — a MAD tea party with games and activities. This will be the first event held by Welkin Life and Little Miss Flowers and, if you’ve had the chance to visit Little Miss Flowers in Parap, you’ll know how beautifully put together this occasion will be.

Jodie will kickstart the morning carrying out activities with the young ladies that will build self-esteem and confidence. They will present what they’ve learnt to their mothers at the end of the day.

The talented Jules will fill the afternoon with a flower crown workshop using her life-like silk flowers — and you get to keep the end result. You’ll walk away with beautiful gifts and memories that will last a lifetime.

The tea will take place at Q Bar & Brasserie at The Avenue on Salonika Street, from 10am on May 7. Email jody@welkinlife.com.au to secure your booking.
