Primary school with real Heart

-

SACRED Heart Catholic Primary School was established in 1987 and relocated to the city of Palmerston in 1994.

At Sacred Heart, we believe in helping students to become the best people they can be, make informed choices and foster their love for learning.

Through our Catholic faith we work on developing a strong community that practices school- wide positive behaviours to enrich our school motto, love one another.

We have beautiful and spacious grounds, and supportive and caring families that involve themselves with the Parish and school community. Our high quality education programs are offered from Transition to Year 6 and incorporate STEM, inquiry learning and differentiation.

We implement the Australian curriculum across all subjects, and have specialised whole school events in science, literacy, health and physical education.

Our staff and students are involved in a variety of community events and local and national competitions.

We offer specialised classes in Indonesian, sport and the arts and have introduced robotics, with two teams attending the national Robo- Cup Competition in Brisbane this year. A defence support transition aide works closely with our Defence Force families to help them make connections to the community through ANZAC and Remembrance Day services.

Our indigenous education support staff works closely with the community to support families and students with their school experience.

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School also has an early learning centre program for 3 — 5 year olds, and an outside school hours care program, offering before school, after school and holiday care programs.
