TALK OF THE TERRITORY

-

ON THE PROPOSED MYILLY POINT MUSEUM

More Labor evaporating dollars poured into a project that most people do not want! This government is detached from reality; they seem to come up with airy-fairy ideas to spend money on idiotic things that are not needed. Please take a reality check, government, and spend money on more police, fixing the problem of youth crime and many other things that are more pressing than a new museum. I like Museums, but ... talk. Ray

In my travels, I haven’t come across anyone that supports the idea of a new cultural museum at Myilly, let alone a new cultural museum anywhere in Darwin. I’m surprised that even 15 per cent support it. Probably Labor sympathisers. Ben

ON THE SENTENCING OF PINE GAP PROTESTERS FOR TRESPASSING

Wonder if they are still smiling after copping that fine. Break the law and you deserve all you damn well get. David

They should have had all their taxpayer funded benefits withdrawn for two years, that would be a penalty better than jail. Ron

ON THE TERRITORY GOVERNMENT’S 10YEAR PLAN TO ADDRESS FAMILY VIOLENCE

Calling on all men, choose to ‘WALK’ or ‘TALK’ ... but never to harm ... that’s what makes you a real man and a strong confident role-model to be admired and emulated by our youth.

You don’t need to wait for a 10 year plan to tell you what you already know you should or shouldn’t do. Mark

A 10 year plan which means the next 12 months will be taken up with consultation then maybe stuff might happen. With Ms Wakefield’s previous experience in a women’s shelter why has it taken 15 months (since coming into government) to get any account of the problems. What action is she going to take today, not tomorrow or next week, but today to start reducing these abysmal numbers. Ian

ON THE PASSING OF THE SAME-SEX MARRIAGE BILL IN PARLIAMENT THIS WEEK

Why do we still have to hear about this. it’s only a very small minority in the world. More happening in this world than this. Local
