Promising runners hoping to make big impression on track

-

THE final of the $1750 SBA Office National Restricted Dash (312m) brings together up-and-coming greyhounds at Winnellie Park tonight.

Weeona Paddy for Steele Bolton will go well and his dangers include Vestiarius (Jamie Hosking), kennelmate Nash Road Kylie and last-start winner Ritto’s Hanger (Hans Spykers), who is a promising young bitch in the making.

In race one, newcomer Eight Princes was impressive in going down narrowly last week for Brad Yates, and appears to have a great chance to break through.

Young trainer Harry Brown would be hopeful of a strong performance from Tiger’s Spark in race two.

Race three is a terrific field with plenty of ability.

It was hard not to be im- pressed by Hosking’s Arnhem Mayhem last start and box eight should suit him.

The two runners drawn on the inside – Phantom Henry (Hosking) and Distant Shores (Chris Blackman) – both look major players in race four.

Vanessa Ferns has her team ticking over well and no doubt Dothraki has the ability to be in the firing line in race six.

It is hard to go past the Leta Smith-trained Ringbark Lana and box one makes her one of the better bets on the program in race seven.

Mudrush (Leta Smith) would be a leading contender in race eight, while Hurricane Hayley (for premiership-leading trainer Russell Savige), Mallee Pearl (Spykers) and Eight Roses (Brad Yates) cannot be left out of the mix.

Andrew Lasker will be thinking Meale’s Chance should have a say in the finish in race nine.

A couple of the leading contenders have drawn out wider in race 10, and Rockabye Daisy (Steele Bolton) and Jetmag Sally (Simon Nathanael) both have undeniable chances.

Nitro Injected (Richard Smith) and Priya Monelli (Spykers) also have claims in an open affair to end the night.
