Seibold stands by hit man Burgess
THE NRL’s best big man only has small issues. That’s the opinion of South Sydney coach Anthony Seibold, who is adamant Sam Burgess doesn’t need to alter his aggression when he returns against St George Illawarra today.
All eyes will be on the Rab- bitohs star after being suspended for the second time this year following his high tackle on Canberra playmaker Aidan Sezer that rubbed him out for two weeks.
The incident came just 59 minutes into his return from a raised elbow on Canterbury centre Josh Morris that also sidelined him for two weeks. But Seibold believes Burgess’ intent is what makes him the best forward in the league.
“There’s no trend in his game.
“They’re only minor issues,” Seibold said.
