Territory’s top educators awarded
SOME of the Territory’s most outstanding early childhood educators and programs have been honoured in an awards ceremony at Parliament House.
As part of the annual NT Education and Care Awards, three teachers and two learning centres received awards.
Monique Marzocchi from Clyde Fenton Primary School took home the emerging educator category, St Mary’s Community of Learners’ Fiona Matchett won outstanding educator and Joanne Vlassco, from the Malak Family Centre, received the outstanding leadership gong.
The Farrar Early Learning Centre was recognised for its outstanding achievement in community engagement and the Darwin Family Day Care won the outstanding achievement in innovative practice category.
Winners receive a scholarship to contribute to their professional development. The awards recognise the important work educators do.
