Plenty of chances in sprint

-

THE feature Sage Contracting Sprint (537m) looks an even race five at the Winnellie Park greyhounds tonight.

Jessie Quick (for Graeme Ferns) was impressive last start and box one should suit.

Andrew Lasker will be looking for a change of luck with Bombay Rock in race one and she has drawn the ideal box.

Matilda Road (Ron Phillips) has been consistent and will get a chance to get back in the winners’ circle in race two.

Quintus Maximus (Jamie Hosking) is going well heading into race three.

Hosking, on 93 wins this year, is trying to close the gap on premiership-leading trainer Russell Savige (107). He appears to have two strong hopes in race four, with Vampire Wish and Wildash Kamilaro.

Race six is a good opportunity for Arnhem Invader (Hosking, box one) to get back in the winners’ circle.

Plenty of speed out wide with Elite Falcon and Riding Her Luck in race seven, and both have strong claims.

Race eight is a tricky one, but possibly Sunset Licorice can bounce back here for Ferns.

In race nine, the punters can go home on a winning note with the Chris Blackmantrained Distant Shores drawing her ideal box.
