They generally have an open bar and all that happens is too many alcoholic drinks. Even when there’s a full meal, there’s probably not enough food to soak up all the grog.

And really, why isn’t there chips and gravy freely available at the end, to prepare one’s stomach for work the next day?

Of course, one solution could be to not drink.

Scratch that – we’re Territorians. We’ll just suffer through it.
