WOMAN SUFFERS INJURIES

A WOMAN has suffered serious injuries after an incident in Alice Springs.

Northern Territory Police said they were searching for witnesses after members of the public alerted them to the woman’s condition on South Tce about 10.40pm Friday. She was taken to hospital.

Police are working to establish the circumstan­ces surroundin­g her injuries.

Police are urging anyone with informatio­n about the incident to contact them on 131444 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

In an unrelated incident, police announced on Friday they were investigat­ing the death of an 18-month-old Alice Springs girl.

The infant was flown to Adelaide from Alice Springs Hospital on December 15, however she passed away the following day.
