Caddie and wife wed by ‘The Beast’

THE irony has not been lost on the golfing world after Robert Allenby, known as “The Beast” for his dealings with caddies, officiated the wedding ceremony for his current bagcarrier on a Colorado mountaintop.

Allenby, 47, became an ordained minister to conduct the ceremony for caddie Danny Stout and Sam Troyanovich, an LPGA tour pro who just finished her rookie season.

Troyanovich said Allenby, who has used as many as 24 different caddies during his career and twice sacking them mid-round, was a changed man.

“People say, ‘ Wait, what? Danny caddies for Robert Al- lenby? Isn’t he awful? Isn’t he such a jerk’?” she told Golf Digest. “And we’re like, ‘No, he’s amazing. We love him’.”

Allenby has made more than $37 million in golf.

But his career went sideways four years ago when the Victorian was allegedly kidnapped, robbed and beaten outside a wine bar in Hawaii.
