More than half a million Territorians have sampled the fun of the rural show
IN THE last 40 years it is estimated more than half a million Territorians have had an opportunity to sample a ‘unique slice of rural life’ through a family visit to the iconic Freds Pass Rural Show.
In 2019 the show celebrates its 40th year with a memorable and spectacular event on May 18 and 19.
This year’s show offers such an exciting range of experiences and opportunities for all.
Families have plenty to keep them occupied across the two days.
There will be activities for kids including arts and crafts, animals to experience.
They can also learning from local students working with Stud Brahman cattle and Boer goats and let’s not forget the fun of the fairground and side show alley.
Discover and taste the real outback at the 50km feast with a menu including pearl meat, crocodile and barramundi.
Dine under the stars with stories and flavours sourced from across 50km of the Top End region.
Horse lovers can sit under a shaded tree and watch a full two-day program including showjumping, show horse and pony club rings.
Foodies will be in paradise in the Paddock to Plate marque with Territory iconic chefs including Lynton Tapp, Jimmy Shu and Rachael Ciesiolka demonstrating some of the regions finest produce including beef, sardines, tropical fruits, barramundi and mud crabs.
Icon Shannon Noll will headline the entertainment stage on Saturday night after the fireworks. Nollsie will per
form some of his all-time greatest tracks from Shine, Drive, My Body Loves to Party and of course his nod to What About Me.
The entertainment stage is the centre of the show and boasts an arrangement of talent on the Saturday and a jazz feel for the Sunday in the Paddock festivities.
