Police probe tyre dump

POLICE want any witnesses to the illegal dumping of nearly 500 tyres in Livingstone to come forward.

An NT Police spokesman said the person or people behind the illegal dumping remains a mystery.

Police believe the tyres were dumped on private property in the vicinity of Old Bynoe Rd between late Tuesday and early Friday.

“A vehicle of interest is described as a mid-sized tip truck which police believe has returned to the location up to 15 times to offload tyres,” he said.
