Duo arrested over MCG ciggie fight

A FIGHT over a cigarette during Friday night football has left a security guard injured and two men arrested.

The security guard was assaulted and the two men arrested at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

It is alleged the altercation was sparked by a cigarette.

One of the men got in trouble for smoking inside the stadium during Friday night’s AFL game between Hawthorn and Collingwood.

It is alleged the security guard was then assaulted, a Victorian Police spokesman said.

The two men, aged 23 and 29, are expected to be charged on summons with unlawful assault over their involvement in the incident.
