Visitors to shake up Cup heats

WINNELLIE Park is set for an exciting evening of greyhound racing, the highlights being four heats of the Ladbrokes Group 3 Darwin Cup on an 11race program tonight.

The heats ooze quality with excellent depth and there are more than 20 visiting greyhounds attempting to win the coveted Group 3 Cup.

Ones to watch are Quara’s Zade and Tom’s Desire for James Jeffries from Western Australia, as well as Two Times Twice, Crackerjack Skip and Snazzy Whompo for Graeme Crudelli.

Troy Murray has two outstanding runners from South Australia in Spring Cuervo and Waterloo Monelli, while it would pay to respect Stephen Whyte.

His charges performed admirably in the Chief Minister’s Cup, including Weeona Pete, Weeona Jimmy and Weeona Bulldozer.

Darwin runners such as Unchangeable for Graeme Scott, Rioli and No Stress (Ron Phillips), Eight Green Cans and Spring Double (Harry Brown), Allen Ichiro and Yaringa Lass (Russell Savige) lead the Top End bunch.

Racing commences at 5.46pm on yet another bumper racing program.
