Female driver attacked in car

POLICE are on the hunt for a young man who is accused of assaulting a woman while she sat in her car.

The woman was approached by the man, who is aged between 18 and 20, after she returned to her car from the shops in Gray at 4.30pm on Friday.

The man asked the woman for money and leant into the vehicle. The woman gave him a dollar coin which was on the passenger seat.

There was then an altercatio­n during which the man is alleged to have indecently and physically assaulted the woman.

Police say he then grabbed the keys from the ignition of the car and ran away, returning a short time later at which point he threw the keys back at the woman, then again reached into the car and pulled the key from the ignition.

He was last seen running towards the local school.

The man is described as indigenous with a dark complexion, aged between 18 and 20, 160-170cm tall and of slim build with black, curly hair.

The man was wearing a black T-shirt with white printing on the front.
