Too much Heat for the Thunder

A SUPERB team performance from reigning champions Brisbane Heat saw them dispose of Sydney Thunder by 32 runs at Drummoyne Oval yesterday.

There was no shortage of contributors across the Heat batting card, including Beth Mooney (22 off 28 balls), Laura Harris (30 off 22) and Amelia Kerr (21 not-out off 16).

Nida Dar (2-15 off four overs) was the pick of the Thunder bowlers. Jess Jonassen was outstanding with the ball for the Heat, snaring 4-13 from four overs, as only Tahlia Wilson (19 off 27) stood out in the Thunder chase.
