Harvest Coffee Shop

ANULA residents will have a new Sunday breakfast option from today when a local cafe begins trialling a Sunday service in response to customer demand.

Harvest Coffee Shop has traded six days a week since November 2018, but after a stream of local inquiries into whether the cafe could open an extra day, owner and manager Stevie Gusmao has decided to trial opening on Sundays at 9am-12pm.

The cafe will serve its usual breakfast menu as well as coffee and cakes on Sunday mornings.

Ms Gusmao said the cafe was trialling an extra day of service because a lot of residents had asked for it and it could be a good business opportunity. “I don’t think there’s much open on

Sundays and we’ll be doing breakfast,” she said. “Sunday is mainly a big family day so having (Yanyula Park) right there, people want to do something with their children.

“If we’re open they don’t have to go to Casuarina (Square) but can go to the park, have some breakfast and spend time as a family.”

Ms Gusmao said she would open Sundays for about a month before deciding whether to make it permanent.
