A TEENAGER has had his ute impounded after police were called to reports of cars doing burnouts at a gathering of up to 45 vehicles in East Arm on Friday night.

Watch Commander Greg Pusterla said police attended the scene and found about 30 cars and 15 motorcycles, most of which left soon after.

Senior Sergeant Pusterla said the 17-year-old’s ute was impounded for 48 hours and he was issued with an infringement notice.

Earlier on Friday night, a woman allegedly blew more than four times the legal blood-alcohol limit after she was spotted speeding in Yarrawonga.

Senior Sergeant Pusterla said the woman was disqualified from driving and her car was unregistered and uninsured when she recorded a blood-alcohol reading of 0.206 shortly before 6pm.

Police were also kept busy yesterday attending a number of minor car crashes throughout the city.
