P-plater blows way over limit

A 32-YEAR-OLD P-plater who allegedly blew almost four times the legal blood-alcohol limit has been arrested in Alice Springs after being spotted driving without his lights on.

The man was picked up by police on Gap Rd and taken back to the police watch house where he recorded a BAC of 0.198.

He was charged with one count of high range drink-driving and one count of being a Pplater with alcohol in his blood and was bailed to appear at the Alice Springs Local Court at a later date.
