Teen dies after stabbing

A QUEENSLAND teen stabbed in the chest during a disturbance at a Brisbane hotel room on Australia Day has died in hospital.

The 18-year-old and two 17year-olds were part of a group of eight people who gained entry to an Albert St hotel lobby when they followed other guests through the door.

They then entered a room being occupied by a man known to them, and the three teens were stabbed.

The 18-year-old was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with a lifethreatening injury, and died yesterday, while the two younger men have since been released from hospital.

Police are investigating the incident.
