TERRITORIANS have rallied together, raising thousands of dollars to support a dog in need.

Misty and her nine puppies were seized from a Palmerston home last week and brought to RSPCA Darwin. RSPCA interim general manager Peter King said Misty suffered from entropion, a condition where the eyelid folds inward. She was also underweight, while her puppies were infested with ticks.

The organisation turned to social media to raise funds for Misty’s corrective surgery, and collected more than $2000.

“There’s a clear improvement in her physical and mental state,” Mr King said.

“The puppies are fantastic. Their eyes are bright and they’re loud and yappy and 100 per cent happy.

“This just shows how much the public is willing to help.”
