Changes give Logies facelift

THE Logies have been given a facelift with television ratings and expert analysis introduced into the voting system in a bid to modernise how nominees are selected.

Ratings, social media analysis and opinions of an expert panel will be combined to determine the nominees in each of the 12 categories, including the coveted Gold Logie, cutting the public out of the first round of voting.

The public will then have an extended five-week live-voting period to determine the winners.
