TOP draft pick Matthew Rowell enhanced claims for a Round 1 AFL debut with a solid display in the Suns’ pre-season win over Geelong. Rowell picked up 20 disposals as Gold Coast claimed an impressive 17.20 (122) to 7.12 (54) win over the Cats at Metricon Stadium yesterday. The 18-year-old was a bright spark throughout the match, in his second hitout against AFL opposition.
