Daylight saving ends in south

Sunday Territorian - - NEWS -

THOSE keeping in contact with family, friends and colleagues interstate will have to adjust their time-zone thinking, with daylight saving ending down south.

Clocks went back one hour at 3am this morning for residents in NSW, Victoria, SA, Tasmania and the ACT.

Today the sun will rise an hour earlier down south — a temporary boon to the early risers — but it will set an hour earlier too.

Mental health professionals are warning people not to underestimate the impact the shift may have this year.
