- Check out tomorrow’s NT News to see Territory kids get back to sport

JUNIOR sport finally got back under way yesterday, with Olivia Pilkington’s Darwin Eagles Cricket Club U15 side playing against Waratah in the Saturday morning fixture.

While her side went down, Olivia, 14, said it was good to just be back out there.

“It’s good to get back into a rhythm, get back into fitness, it’s a relief really,” she said.

“During the shutdowns I went to the beach, did some fishing, did some training, just cleaned up the house – it was pretty boring.”

Her dad Paul Pilkington said it was good for Olivia and her brother William to get back to normality and catch up with their friends.

“She’s had a bit of a lay-off and she enjoys playing the game and getting back with her mates,” he said.

“Her brother plays as well so they all hang out.”
