Viridine, Olly all class in Bletchingly
DENIED a record-equalling 11th Victorian metropolitan premiership by Craig Williams, Damien Oliver’s tactical masterclass to win the Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes (1200m) on Viridine underlined his enduring brilliance yesterday.
Oliver was on the gelding when runner-up to Jungle Edge in the Sir John Monash Stakes two weeks ago, and that experience was sufficient for them to turn the tables on their rivals in the Bletchingly.
