Urgent push for aged care action

AGED care response centres, similar to those set up during the bushfires crisis, should be ready to launch in each state as the deadly COVID-19 virus spreads through nursing homes, Labor says.

Shadow aged care minister Julie Collins has written to the Prime Minister demanding the government starts urgent negotiations with state and territory leaders to establish the emergency response centres.

In the letter, seen by News Corp, Ms Collins said there was “no time to wait”.
