THE NT Land Cor­po­ra­tion, along with the gov­ern­ment, is try­ing to iden­tify more land that could be used for recre­ational hunt­ing and fish­ing.

Stud­ies into suit­abil­ity, ac­cess, en­vi­ron­men­tal im­pact and sus­tain­able hunt­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties are be­ing un­der­taken to de­ter­mine new land parcels.

The NT Land Cor­po­ra­tion will be con­sult­ing with recre­ational fish­ing and hunt­ing groups.

In­fra­struc­ture, Plan­ning and Lo­gis­tics Min­is­ter Eva Lawler said the en­vi­ron­ment was “part of our great Ter­ri­tory life­style”.

“The Ter­ri­tory gov­ern­ment and NT Land Cor­po­ra­tion will con­tinue to work closely with hunters and tourism op­er­a­tors,” she said.

More NT land is be­ing sought for recre­ational hunt­ing and fish­ing.
