ART TO HAVE A HEALTHY FUTURE

-

A WEST Arnhem artist has launched a new project to encourage more young men to come forward to be screened for sexually transmitted infections.

Timothy Nabegeyo, from Gunbalanya, is also a worker at the town’s health centre and is involved in STI prevention.

His latest work, Walking Together, will be featured on NT Health promotional material as part of a new campaign targeting young men in remote communities.

“The handprint over the six states and two territories represents that this is a whole of country issue where Binnij and Balanda (white man) work side-by-side for the good of all Australians,” Mr Nabegeyo said.
