Kids face murder charges

TWO 13-year-old boys are among five teenagers charged with murder following a fatal assault in Sydney’s west.

A 14-year-old boy, a 15year-old boy, and a 15-year-old girl are also each facing a murder charge after their alleged victim died in hospital on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to a home in Doonside just before 6pm on Wednesday following reports of an assault, police said.

A 16-year-old boy was found unresponsi­ve with injuries to his head and chest, police allege.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital, where he died on Saturday.

Two of the boys, aged 13 and 14, were also each charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a person with intent and take/detain in company with intent to gain advantage occasionin­g actual bodily harm.

They were arrested at Ermington just after 2.30pm on Thursday.

Earlier on Thursday, NSW Police said the other 13-yearold boy, and two 15-year-olds, were arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station where they were charged with causing grievous bodily harm to person with intent, detain in company with intent to gain advantage, occasion actual bodily harm.
