Call for jab mandate

MANDATORY vaccination for all hospital staff across the country should be enforced as it is essential to ensuring the safety of health workers, patients and the system itself, the Australian Private Hospitals Association says.

The APHA is calling on national cabinet to mandate jabs for hospital workers Australiawide due to the prevalence of outbreaks within our health facilities. Chief executive Michael Roff says cabinet should seek urgent health advice with a view to implementing the strategy as soon as possible.
