Let’s get this
Join in the fun today as Territorians have a blast to celebrate everything we love about this incredible place we all call home. The Territory will come alive with fireworks, concerts and community events to recognise July 1, the day the NT declared independence from the Commonwealth Government in 1978.
From the Top End down to the Red Centre, there will be free, family friendly events, with concerts in Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Katherine and Darwin, and fireworks displays in 17 regional and remote communities.
DARWIN
Ranked in the top 10 DJs in the world by the UK’s DJ Mag last year, Timmy Trumpet is heading to Darwin to help celebrate Territory Day. The charttopping muso will light up the stage at Mindil Beach before the fireworks light up the sky from 8.15pm. Aussie alt rock band Eskimo Joe remains part of the Darwin celebrations, with Territory pop-punk band Danger Den and Darwin songbird Emily Penny completing the line-up on the Mindil Beach stage hosted by
DJ/MC Hello Bass. The fun starts from 4pm.
ALICE SPRINGS
Down at Anzac Oval in Alice Springs, experience the high-energy grooves of the world-inspired Afrobeat explosion King Marong and the Tamala Express, Aussie favourite Busby Marou, and Colin Lillie Music from the Red Centre. The fun starts from 5pm.
KATHERINE
At Katherine Showgrounds, catch the action from 5.30pm with local singer/songwriters Hope Campbell and Gypsy Schmidt, the K-town Cruzers, the Katherine Regional Arts Choir, bearded muso David Garnham & the Reasons to Live and MC Kamahi Djordon King.
TENNANT CREEK
Soak up the relaxed and friendly vibe at the Tennant Creek Showgrounds from 4pm, with music by Coloured Stone, Gleny Rae, Sally Balfour, Last Resort, and WMC All-Stars.
Download the free Territory check-in app before you arrive and leave your personal fireworks at home.
