DOGS of Darwin love the outdoors, whether it be heading to the beach or to a cafe or pub.
There is a whole heap of locations where you can take your furry friend and Motorhome Republic has made a map – DogFriendly Finder – to help you find out where dogs are welcome.
Top venues to take your dog include Besser Kitchen and Brew Bar, Cafe Central, Fresh Point Co and the Darwin Waterfront.
If you are looking to hit a beach, Nightcliff, Lee Point and Casuarina Beach Dog Park are some of the top locations.
David Newman owns two dogs and regularly takes them down to Nightcliff Beach or Casuarina Beach. Mr Newman said they were some of the most popular locations for Darwin pooches.
“The beaches are washed clean every day and they are great roaming places, the tides shift everything around and you can go every day and your experience is different every day,” he said. He rarely takes his dogs to venues, as it would be a “bit of a circus”.
