Cultural grants on offer
ROUND two of the multicultural grants program, worth $70,000, has opened for 2021-22.
The program aims to assist migrant and multicultural Territorians to expand their own community organisations, and develop the Northern Territory’s social and cultural inclusivity.
Projects, events and activities that promote and celebrate social inclusion, cohesion, multicultural diversity and linguistic diversity are eligible for funding.
Multicultural Affairs Minister Kate Worden said the Territory had a “proud multicultural community”.
“This will provide opportunities for our multicultural communities to celebrate and showcase their culture with the aim of broader learning which is essential to social inclusion,” Ms Worden said.
“Creating more events in the Territory and upgrading existing spaces means more jobs for Territorians and supports local business.”
Applications are open until September 30 on grantsnt.nt. gov.au
