School holiday funding

- JUDITH AISTHORPE

COMMUNITY groups and youth program providers are encouraged to put their applications in for funding for school holiday programs.

The NT government is seeking applications for a variety of drug and alcohol-free recreational activities, personal development workshops, and leadership programs during the Christmas school holiday period.

The Youth Vibe Holiday grants allow for community groups to apply for up to $2000 with a pool of $65,000 available.

Previously funded activities include boardgame tournaments, squash sessions, bike refurbishing workshops, esports, tennis coaching and leadership development.

Youth Minister Lauren Moss said a range of providers would be supported so young Territorians across the NT could benefit.

“The biggest school holidays of the year provides an opportunity for young Territorians to take advantage of an action-packed calendar of fun and exciting activities,” Ms Moss said.
