NRL NT FANS OUT IN FORCE

- NATHANIEL CHAMBERS

DARWIN’S rugby league fans flooded TRL Stadium on Saturday to watch their clubs compete in a day full of NRL NT grand final action.

It was a big day for the NRL NT clubs with the colours of Palmerston, Brothers, Nightcliff and Sharks all proudly on display across TRL Stadium.

And fans young and old came out in numbers to watch their friends and family grab a chance at Darwin rugby league glory.

Buster Goodson, Faith Bouwer and Moses Wigness Jr were among the Darwin Brothers contingent cheering on their teams taking part across the grades.

“It’s been a lot of fun, really exciting. It’s especially exciting when the Brothers are playing and get the win,” Buster said.

“I really enjoy watching the club out there doing well.”

Palmerston Raiders president Rodney Greenwood also got stuck into the occasion, getting his club juniors up and about to cheer on their squads.

“To see all the teams from our club get out there is amazing,” he said.

“It’s been a long year but this is a great day for everyone and credit to all the teams that got here.”
